Tournament Type: 3 Game round robin, then championship game on Sunday.
When: April 26th-28th, 2024
Where: Moylan Tranquility Iceplex, Motto Mclean Ice Rink, Liberty First Credit Union Arena (Ralston), Grover Ice Rink and Sidner Ice Rink
Cost Per Team: $875.00, (due April 5nd 2024)
Rosters: 15 skaters plus goalie (1 sub skater allowed, due April 5nd 2024)
Skill Levels: Below
Ages: All players must be 18 years old or older

Referees & Score Keepers:
• Refs will be paid $50 per game with USA hockey cert.
• Scorekeepers will be paid $30 per game.

GOOD LIFE HOCKEY TOURNAMENT RULES

On ice Rules:
We will be using standard USA hockey rules; no ringers, no checking, no fighting, ext. All games consist of three 17-minute, running clock periods. We will going with blue line icing (not red line). The ice will not be resurfaced between periods. All games must be completed in the one hour curfew time. Should the goal differential be two goals or less and the time remaining in the third period is 2 minutes or less, the clock will stop with each stoppage in play.

Scoring, Penalties & Tie Breakers:
Minor penalties will be 2:00 (all periods).
Major penalties will be 5:00 (all periods).
3 Points regulation win
2 Points shootout win
1 Point shoot loss
0 Points loss within regulation

2. Head to Head
3. Goals Against
4. Goal Differential
5. Goals For
6. Penalty minutes

Divisions:

Novice Bronze (USA Hockey 0-1 Skill)
(Beginners, Less skilled MCHL Novice or Hockey Finder 1-2)

Novice Silver (USA Hockey 1-2 Skill)
(Average skilled MCHL Novice or Better Hockey Finder 1-2)

Novice Gold (USA Hockey 2-3 Skill)
(Average skilled MCHL INTB, Less Skilled INTA or Less skilled hockey finder 2-4)

Intermediate Bronze (USA Hockey 3-3.5 Skill)
(Average skilled MCHL INTA, Higher skilled INTB or Hockey Finder 2-4)

Intermediate Silver (USA Hockey 3.5-4 Skill)
(Higher Skilled MCHL INTA or Less skilled Hockey Finder 3-5)

Intermediate Gold (USA Hockey 4-6 Skill)
(Highest MCHL skilled, BPHL, or Hockey Finder 3-5)

Game Play:

Rosters:
Once the rosters are approved by tournament officials, they are final. One substitution player will be allowed per team. Only 15 skaters and one goalie are allowed to dress and be on the bench per game (not 16 skaters). If a team skates with a player not on their roster, they will forfeit the game and take a 2-0 loss in the standings. Sub goalie will be address on a case by case basis. If a player is removed for being a ringer, game suspension or tournament ejection, no replacement will be allowed.

Tournament Format:
All teams will play three games initially. Top 2 seeded teams will play Sunday morning.

Release of Liability Waiver / Age:
All players must sign a release of liability waiver to play. If a waiver is not signed, they do not have permission to play. All players must be at least 18 years of age no exceptions.

Championship Games:
For the championship games, if there is a tie it will go to best of 3 shootout rounds. Then it will go to single round elimination. Players that were in the penalty box at the end of game play are not allow to shoot in the shootout.

Skill Levels:
The tournament skill levels are spelled out on our site. Please make sure your team falls in line with the laid out guidelines. Elite teams will NOT have players that have played any Tier 1 or 2 juniors, USHL, NAHL, NCAA D1 or Pro**.

Officials:
Referees have the last word. Referee harassment will not be tolerated at this tournament. Any player harassing an official physically or verbally will be removed from the game. The player maybe suspended from play for the next game. This also goes for players watching any game. Harassing a referee(s) from off the ice will constitute suspension and possible removal from the tournament completely without refund. This also falls under coaches and spectators, see USA Hockey Rule for more info.

Fighting:
Fighting will not be tolerated at this tournament. Any player involved or deemed by the officials to be fighting will be removed from the tournament and will not be allowed to play any remaining games. No refunds will be given. That player maybe banned from this tournament completely.

Suspensions:
If a player receives 3 minor penalties in one game they will be removed from that game will be allowed to play in the next game. Any player who receives a major penalty they will be removed from that game and will be suspended for the next game (as is the case with MCHL). No subs are allow to skate in the place of a suspended player. Goalies are an exception but must be vetted.

Refunds:
No refund will be returned to players removed from the tournament by an official or is suspended from game play due to penalties. No refund will be returned to players or teams determined to be ringer(s).

Jerseys:
All home teams should wear dark jerseys. Visiting teams will wear light jerseys. Not all teams have a light set of jersey. So please be willing to adjust and work with each other. Goalies most wear light jerseys when their team is light and dark jerseys when their team is dark.

We are all here to have fun and play hockey with our friends. So, let’s do that! Stay chill and play some puck! This is a beer League Tournament, there will be NO SCOUTS watching the games!! Hard, clean play is expected, but even more important is to have fun!!!!!
